Minutes of Meeting Held on Saturday the 14th of March 2009.

  1. The meeting opened with a prayer from our Chief Patron Sister Ponnamma.
  2. It was decided to avoid misunderstanding and confusion the past pupils will be informed that the Alumnae Centenary Function scheduled on 20th May 2009 will be for "members only". This includes the reunion of batches and the Alumnae Dinner. Unregistered members and the past pupils who have not paid the required fees will be exempted from the Alumnae programme. 
  3. The fee structure needs to be classified; hence an Ad in The Shillong Times and notices will be posted.
    The members pay 
    1. Registration fee Rs. 100/-
    2. Membership fee (Annual) Rs. 500/- and
    3. Participation fee Rs. 1500/- for the employed (includes home makers) Rs.500/- for the students

    4. This fee will pay for Participation ID's, Dinner, A silver plated souvenir, Souvenir/Magazine, Brunch etc. a contribution will also be made to the 23rd May 2009 dinner in School.

  4. In order to clarify doubts and to work together the alumni executive committee has requested for a meeting to be arranged by the Principal with the staff of Loreto Convent School. Permission has been granted and the meeting will be held on the 19th March 2009 at 12:30 pm in the School Library.
  5. It was decided to recall all receipt books issued to the members. Fresh ones will be given bearing the LAAS stamp.
  6. Registration and Collection of Fess will be resumed on 4th April 2009

  7. Choir Practice Timings to be intimated soon.
  8. Venue for Alumni Dinner on the 20th May 2009 at Shillong Club from 6:00 pm to 11: 00 pm. Members also need to inform the committee as soon as possible about how many people other than members will attend the dinner.
  9. It was suggested that the School must invite the office bearers of SEPA ( St. Edmunds Past Pupils Association) to the inaugural function.
  10. Next meeting to be held on the 11th of April 2009 followed by a General Body Meeting on the 18th April 2009 at 1:00 pm Loreto Convent. to apprise the members about the programme etc.
  11. To total collection made from 9th March - 14th March is Rs. 1,74,300/-
