Minutes of meeting held on Saturday the 24th of January 2009

An executive Body meet was held on Saturday the 24th of January 2009 at Pauline Warjri’s residence where 11 Executive Body Members were present. The following points on the Centenary Celebrations were discussed.

  1. LATEST FINANCIAL STATUS REPORT ON COLLECTION MADE ON MEMBERSHIP & REGISTRATION FEES

      The Collection made from the last AGM on registration and membership fees was accounted at Rs 23,100 + 100 Canadian Dollars =Rs 26,695(approx). According to the proposed budget estimate by the Alumnae the funds to be raised from the membership fees collection falls short by Rs 1,23,305 (One Lakh Twenty three thousand ,three hundred and five only) .

      Hence it was decided that the Executive Members would once again make an appeal to all past pupils to register themselves and pay the requisite membership fees on the following dates and time in the school premises whereby an executive member (named below) would officiate to sit in the school to do the necessary collection.

  2. APPOINTMENT OF COORDINATORS, CONVENERS AND IDENTIFICATION OF VARIOUS COMMITTEES FOR THE CENTENARY CELEBRATION.

      For better co-ordination of the Centenary program , a total number of 17 Committees with respective Conveners were identified . It was resolved that The Convener would be responsible for organising and galvanising their own respective Committees , choosing members for their own committees and taking decisions for smooth functioning of their respective jurisdiction of work.

      In addition FOUR COORDINATORS were identified whereby all the CONVENERS of different committees would report and relate their activities (to any one of the co-ordinator)on a regular basis for a wholesome picture of the entire process.

  3. Miscellaneous .
    • The Date for the Alumnae Dinner was finalised on the 20th May 2009.
    • The options for the Venue of the dinner was discussed in the meeting. The same would be finalised soon by the Conveners of the Concerned Committee.
    • A Discussion was made on the possibility of obtaining necessary permission from the Government and putting up Flexes along the National Highway from Guwahati to Shillong ,to host welcoming messages to Outstation Participants on the Schools Centenary Program.
    • The need of Sponsorships was briefly discussed.

    4. The date for the next meeting was finalised on the 28th of Feb at 2.00 PM in the school premises.
