Minutes of Meeting Held on Saturday the 29th of Nov 2008.

  1. The meeting started at 2.30 pm in the Catechism Room with the settlement of Bills of accounts for the expenses incurred as mentioned below:
    1. Settlement of bills with Josephine Thanglura and Pauline Rangad for the Stall which was setup on the Vintage Car Rally Day on the 9th of Nov 2008.
    2. Settlement of bills for Domain Renewal and Web Server Space for the Alumni website www.lcalumni.org for the next  12  months till October 2009.
  2. It was resolved that the funds collected from the Aroha Concert would be transferred with immediate effect on or before the 10th of Dec 2008 to the Loreto Convent Centenary Fund which has been opened exclusively for funds for the Centenary Celebrations of the School Mary Tariang was assigned to do the needful.
  3. It was resolved that Jennie Nampui would take up the following 2 issues with the school authorities to expedite :

    • Details of Bank Account of the Loreto Institute in India where foreign funds could be transacted as per Govt. regulations for Centenary Celebration of Loreto Shillong specially for donations from members who would like to contribute from abroad . 

    • Permission for setting up  a Postal Box for receipt of mails for the Alumnae in the School Campus.

  4. The efforts  made by Candida in redesigning  and restructuring the alumnae website was appreciated by the members present . In this respect it was suggested that he Minutes Of Meeting currently available only to registered members be made openly  accessible for all members .

  5. It was decided that the Alumnae would have to work out in projecting a consolidated estimate of Budget for programs for the Centenary by the next meeting and accordingly decide on the future course of action for building up the requisite funds.

  6. It was decided that the Registration Committee would pursue all the registered  members to pay their membership fees at the earliest as a measure to consolidate funds for the alumni.

  7. Due to the presence of very few members for the current meeting , it was decided that another meeting would be held on the following Saturday (i.e) the 6th of Dec 2008 to decide the next important steps of action to be performed .

 

The meeting ended with tea and light refreshments .
