Dear Fellow Loreto Girls,

It was such a joy and pleasure, and so very heartening and encouraging, to see so many from all over India and other parts of the world, converge at the Loreto Shillong Centenary Celebrations from 18th - 23rd May, 2009. Old friendships were renewed, new acquantainces were struck up; there was excitement, laughter, merriment, hectic activities of preparation, exchanging news and views, sharing photograpghs, et al. Thank you to each one of you for all these activities have been part of a memorable once-in-a-lifetime (literally!) experience for all of us and wonderful memories have been created. Undoubtedly, these memories will linger on and will always be etched in our minds.

However, it is my fervent hope and prayer that, even though the excitement and gaiety of the clebrations are over, the enthusiasm, passion and allegiance we have in our hearts as Loerto girls will NOT fizzle out and die, like the dying embers of a fire. Instead, may the fire be stoked up so that it flames will once again rise and its light be seen and warmth be felt by all around. Let the Loreto spirit always be kept alive in our hearts, and may each one of us always be enthused, passionate and exuberant as we were when we met at the Centenary Celebration.

May each one of us continue to hold our heads up high, walk tall, reach out to others and continue to be of assistance to all. Let us, Loreto girls, be women of substance and as the Centenary Song emphasized, let us "make all the difference" we can.

May the Loreto Alumni Association Shillong (LAAS) grow from strength to strengh in the years to come.

We will one day meet again.
God Bless you all

Sincerely
Jennie E Nampuii
